Returning

In September 2003 Kerry Johns showed with Jac Bennink and Marianne Penberth at Caloundra Regional Gallery (Queensland) in a collaborative exhibition exploring the idea of the universal longing to return to one's psychic origins.

Using the simplest vocabulary - line, colour, tone, weave, the imagery of the still waters of Pumicestone Passage began to emerge ... I could celebrate my own place of nurture, the elemental place of return.
